CONTEXT: Trump Military Escalation Is Part Of Project 2025 Plan To Dismantle The Constitution On Behalf Of Christian Billionaires
DAILY DOSE for June 11, 2025 | Sensational images of LA protests are all over the news. But is your media diet explaining WHY this is actually happening?
We’ve all had that experience in the grocery aisle—do we choose the healthy option or the less healthy one? Our food comes with nutrition labels to help guide our decisions about what we consume. But when it comes to our media diets there are no labels. This is dangerous because the quality of our media consumption impacts the health of our society. Without any information nutrition labels our MAGA friends and colleagues end up feeding on a diet of toxic propaganda while everyone else does the best they can with highly processed news meant to go down easy. In this environment, the cancer of fascism metastisizes. The Daily Dose is an immune boost for the American mind that replaces the toxic option with key nutrients like Vitamin C(ontext) and Vitamin F(acts) to boost levels of Vitamin D(emocracy).

Trump is ridding the country of violent criminals to restore law, order, and American greatness.
Consume the HEALTHY CONTEXT version…
Trump is deploying U.S. military against American civilians in pursuit of the Project 2025 plan to dismantle the Constitution on behalf of Christian billionaires
Trump is not ridding the country of violent criminals. He is scapegoating immigrants in pursuit of the Project 2025 plan to dismantle the Constitution. I’ll discuss this plan later on in the piece, but in a whirlwind media environment I first want to provide healthy context for the ongoing events in LA.
Bloomberg reported on April 9th that 90% of Migrants Deported to El Salvador Had No US Criminal Record. In addition to the violent criminals the Trump administraion promised to deport, makeup artists, soccer players, and food delivery drivers are being sent to a prison outside their country of origin to be “held in a place so harsh that El Salvador's justice minister once said the only way out is in a coffin.” A 4-year-old U.S. citizen with stage 4 cancer was deported without access to medication or any judicial review. The child’s lawyers insist that ICE lied about the case when they said the child’s mother wanted the child deported with her. Americans consuming a fact-based, pro-democracy media diet are aware of these tragedies and are taking to the streets in protest.
Government lies, due process violations, and the unlawful exiling of sick American kids are the backdrop for the unrest in Los Angeles. One million undocumented people live in the Los Angeles area. Some have been there for decades. Last Friday, ICE descended on a Home Depot and a clothing store to round up moms, dads, brothers, and nieces. Would you stand in front of a bus in a desperate attempt to keep your husband from disappearing to a foreign prison forever? Would you fight like hell to keep a kid undergoing cancer treatment from being kicked out of his own country? This context allows us to understand why people are so upset. People are taking action based on the information they consume about the world.
Ever since Friday’s raids there’s been a battle for how the public understands this moment. MAGA propaganda outlets continue telling audiences that ICE is rounding up the “worst of the worst” even as border czar Tom Homan emphatically says they’ve moved on to regular, hard-working folks without criminal records.
Local news affiliates like KTLA have provided lots of healthy context, reminding viewers that much of LA is business as usual, in the face of right-wing agitprop that tells Americans all of LA is burning. And though mainstream, corporate media outlets are mostly making bank off of sensational images of isolated acts of destruction, they at times do a decent job of conveying context, like that the groups of agitators are relatively small compared to the large numbers of peaceful protestors, as in this report from CNN:
Far-right media decontextualizes the moment and conflates local knuckleheads who have nothing better to do than drive donuts around burning vehicles for hours with the thousands of peaceful protestors who head home once ordered to disperse.
Left out of all this breathless coverage is the reporting the public needs most: what Trump’s escalation is really about.
What’s REALLY going on? Russell Vought’s Project 2025 Blueprint
Project 2025’s architects—most notably Russell Vought and the Christian Nationalist billionaires of the Council for National Policy (CNP)—are deploying U.S. armed forces against American civilians as a means of advancing a fundamentalist Christian agenda. Vought is the CNP’s man on the inside. He was made head of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) so that he could achieve the goals of the CNP from within our government.
The OMB is a key office within the Executive Office of the President of the United States, responsible for overseeing the federal budget and managing executive branch agencies.
Their goal is theocracy. Government based on religous authority. The Christian version of sharia law.

Vought appears to be motivated first and foremost by creating a Christian nation controlled by an overtly Christian government.
Last year, Vought told undercover journalists with the Centre for Climate Reporting that he wants “to make sure that we can say we are a Christian nation.”
With their man at the levers of the executive branch of government, the Christian Nationalists are poised to destroy government function to bring about Christian rule.
A declaration of martial law, the endgame of Trump’s military escalation, allows Project 2025’s plan for theocracy to achieve its aims much faster.
Martial Law as an Authoritarian Force Multiplier
Political scientists and constitutional experts warn that martial law in the United States would shift extraordinary powers to the executive branch:
Suspension of habeas corpus and civil‐rights rollbacks: Under martial law, the president or secretary of defense can authorize military tribunals for civilians and detain people without the usual judicial oversight. This removes a primary bulwark against abuse of power.
Warrantless searches and curfews: Military or militarized police forces could impose curfews, conduct searches without warrants, and restrict movement—tools that suppress dissent and free assembly.
Marginalization of Congress and courts: With an “emergency” declared, Congress’s ability to check the president and the courts’ ability to hear challenges can be effectively neutered, creating a near‐imperial presidency.
Martial law is often the culmination of a five-step slide toward authoritarianism—false emergency declaration, militarized enforcement, warrantless detentions, expanded detention facilities, then full martial law—which, once in place, leaves little institutional resistance to an unchecked executive.
This all sounds batshit crazy but it really is their plan and, well, have you looked outside? It’s what’s happening.
Vitamin Context: More On How The Plan To Militarize U.S. Cities Furthers Project 2025
Again, what is happening is not merely a response to protests or border “invasions,” but a deliberate tactic to hobble democratic institutions and clear the path for a theocratic regime. The immigration crackdown and years of border lies were all part of a plan to achieve exactly this outcome.
After creating conditions of unrest, the Trump administration has been increasing military presence in the name of “restoring law and order.” Trump invoked Title 10 to federalize the National Guard without California governer Gavin Newsom’s consent. They’ve mobilized the Marines. This was all part of the plan.
The CNP embedded ideologically vetted loyalists like Pete Hegseth and new Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS), Daniel Cane to approve troop deployments in domestic operations. The propaganda attack on DEI advanced by Christian Nationalists like Charlie Kirk created a weak, but effective pretext to fire the previous CJCS, a black man named Charles Brown who advocated for DEI policies. His replacement, Cane, is an unqualified white guy and a Trump family business partner. Trump fired all the JAG lawyers who would have tried to stop Hegseth and Caine from sending the military into American cities.
Next, we can expect them to attempt to invoke the Insurrection Act. Legal scholars and defense analysts agree that, absent an Insurrection Act invocation, active-duty Marines can protect federal property and personnel but cannot be used to police civilians.
Vought wants to achieve a lot of his goals adminstratively, but that is difficult with pesky things like the courts and Congress getting in the way. For instance, he has proposed using impoundment authority to withhold executive agency funds unilaterally—shuttering programs that violate his agenda and redirecting resources to faith-aligned initiatives. So far only “pauses” have been implemented, and any real withholding beyond those pauses is tied up in both congressional review and looming legal challenges.
Many of the legal checks and balances facing Vought are easier to brush aside if the country is in a state of emergency.
You Have A Role To Play
Our political thinking and the outcomes it creates are a direct result of the information we have available to us. A plot to destroy the Constitution would be a daily front page story if we had a mainstream media that prioritized informing the public.
Corporate ownership—with its inherent billionaire class solidarity and profit imperatives that seek to maintain the status quo—undermines the public interest function of journalism. Because of this, mainstream media is incapable of telling the public the full context of what is happening with the prominence this moment requires.
We have to boost fact-based, pro-democracy reporting that connects the dots back to the Council for National Policy. It’s a war for the American mind and one third of us have been made turncoats, cheering for the destruction of our country, by a purpose-built propaganda stream of right-wing information.
The Christian Nationalist fascists are weak. Their only plan is to flood the zone with shit. It’s why they spent decades building a network of think tanks in an attempt to bend America towards their anti-democratic ideology.
In this information war it’s not enough to read an article or see a fact-based, pro-democracy social media post and keep it to yourself. The tens of millions of us who are committed to democracy must overwhelm the fascist bullshit that’s polluting American minds. We must flood the zone with facts. We must become fact warriors.

I came across a social media post with a voice over that implies cops in Dallas laid down their weapons and joined the recent anti-ICE protestors in solidarity.

Wow, what a turn of events! Time to repost i—not so fast. Whenever something seems so important that you just have to share it—a meme or headline that gets your heart racing a little—is precisely the time you need to do what experts call “lateral reading.” Open up some more tabs on your web browser and go to fact-check sites and primary sources to understand more about what you are seeing.
The video appears to be filmed from the perspective of a motorist stuck in traffic and there’s no indication that the police are doing much of anything, let alone abandoning their posts to join a group of protestors in solidarity. The motorist filming the scene gets back into their car.
One of my readers (shoutout, Cake!) found the post that originally contained the voice over. It plays under a series of AI generated images and was shared on January 30th of this year. I have no idea why someone would make this video. It doesn’t really matter. It’s not real.
Bottom line? Always fact-check anything you see online and stick to reputable sources of fact-based information. Not sure where to find those?
