Do people believe the numbers that The Free Press and Substack put out? In an America where only 15% of people pay for any news at all, they claim to have a lot of subscribers. Anecdotes are flimsy evidence, but when I ask around most people in my social orbit have never even heard of The Free Press.
Most people have also never heard of Bluesky or Substack, yet there are many millions on them... unfortunately, I can believe the numbers. The extent of billionaire propaganda cannot be stressed enough, so I wouldn't ever try to downplay it.

The title of this story takes me back to my Bernie Sanders campaign volunteer days in 2016 - all of the promo emails were signed 'Paid for by Bernie 2016 (not the billionaires).' Man that was a different era.
Does it seem odd to anyone else that these “we must preserve our history” people seem to focus solely on the worst aspects of human history? Nazis, Confederates, and the like?
